Ni Hao Famirrry and Friends!

This week was another doozy. I guess I can start off with two stories!
First one:
My companion (Elder Dayton) fell asleep in choir again, and woke up during the prayer… AGAIN! Thank goodness he wasn’t on the edge this time! He also fell asleep during “Initiatories” in the temple! I have no idea how he has gained such a talent for falling asleep!
Second one:
My district always runs back from the gym and we sprint for the last 50 yards or so… And my companion decided to go “off road”… He jumped through some bushes and didn’t see a brown bench on the other side- So after a full out sprint, he biffed it BAD! But he’s tough, so he got straight up and I knew it was safe to laugh… So I almost died from laughing so hard.
Alright, now down to the nitty gritty. I’ve been learning Mandarin so much I can’t even pray in engrish anymore. My district has been doing “SYL” (speak your language) so much that I’ll say things to engrish speakers that are in Mandarin. I’ve also had an opportunity to use words I didn’t even remember learning, in my lessons while talking to TRC/Investigators. My point is, that the Gift of Tongues that all missionaries receive is real. I am so grateful to be worthy and able to utilize this blessing. I also know that Heavenly Father loves us all and wants us to succeed… We just need to put in the work in order to gain his help. Also, praying with purpose is the key to the success my district has been experiencing.
Honestly though, the MTC is pretty straight forward. Nothing happens except learning, eating, learning and sleeping. I’m sure my emails will be wayyyyy more exciting when I got to Taiwan! For now, all the pictures you will get are from Temple walks and my district being stupid.
Hmmm… What else can I talk about… Well, on Saturday I had the opportunity to focus my studies on ANYTHING I wanted for once! I’ve been extremely “spiritually hungry” lately because I haven’t had the opportunity to study my scriptures as much as I wanted to… So for 4 hours I studied the Book of Mormon. I bought color tabs and marked up all the scriptures that pertained to my missionary purpose… Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Gift of the Holy Ghost and Enduring to the End. My Scriptures look so awesome! After the four hours, my body was no longer spiritually hungry and my scriptures looked so awesome!
Oh, we heard from President and Sister Radebough last night! They talked all about planting the seeds into our investigators, and then loving them while the spirit takes care of the rest… It was amazing! Then I was able to watch “The Legacy”… It was a Pioneer movie with horrible acting and even worse directing. The cinematography was pretty good- but I give it a 6.5/10. The acting/directing really made the spirit leave the room for me… (Such a sad life for a movie maker)
Besides all that, nothing else happened! I’m out of time now, so I’ll talk to you guys next week!
PLEASE send me dear elders through out the week! I get lonely so it’s nice to hear from everyone! xP
